Many thanks to the hundreds of delegates that travelled to Athlone for the National Conference. A very strong performance was put on over the weekend in the Athlone Sheraton Hotel. Between lively and informative discussion on various important motions, much fun was had.

The LRC have invited Pat Crotty, Chairman of the Small Firms Association, and Leo Varadkar TD, FG spokesperson on Enterprise & Employment, to the Ormonde Hotel Kilkenny to address a Young Fine Gael seminar on job losses. All welcome.

YFG Dublin Weekend
12th&13th September
The Dublin Regional Council are hosting their annual "Dublin Day" in Wynnes hotel abbey st.


Members will head to the Church on Henry st @ 9pm Friday evening for a social.

The sessions on Saturday in Wynnes start @12pm. Fine Gael health spokesperson Dr. James Reilly will be joined by Dr. Mathew Sadlier (Irish Medical Association) and Maureen Browne (former Director of Communications with the HSE). A

A canvass with Ray McAdam will follow before members gather in the Cill Airne - a docked ship on the River Liffey @8pm to complete the day.

YFG Summer School 2008 A Success!

This year's summer school was held in Carlingford Co. Louth in mid July. A number of Leinster branches were represented at the biggest summer school to date. YFGers debated motions and listened attentively to some serious debate before sitting down to a nice meal in the Carlingford Arms. The festivities carried on long into the night to ensure it was a weekend that will live long in the memory!
